In 2011, developer Bethesda Softworks set the gaming world ablaze with the next entry in their hugely popular Elder Scrolls series, Skyrim. However, although The Elder Scrolls is a major property for Bethesda, it is not their only one. In fact, there’s an equally devoted group of gamers who are more partial to Bethesda’s Fallout series than The Elder Scrolls. A new Fallout, presumably titled Fallout 4, has been rumored for some time now, but few of those rumors have gained much traction....

There’s something surreal about watching a 12-year-old deliver an expletive-laden monologue. This effect is perhaps enhanced when Deadpool himself sits in the foreground reacting to every word. Well, thanks to Ryan Reynolds and his co-star Walker Scobell from the upcoming Netflix film The Adam Project, that experience is now available to all. On January 4th, Reynolds posted a video to his Twitter account featuring Scobell reciting the opening monologue from Deadpool 2 (in which Deadpool reiterates his strange feud with Hugh Jackman’s Wolverine) entirely from memory....

A dataminer has discovered a secret alternate ending to the 2001 cartoon Samurai Jack in the most recently-released tie-in game, Battle Through Time. The scene follows Jack and Ashi following the culmination of the game itself, picking up in a reimagined sequence taken from the series finale, which aired in 2017. Jack actually gets to smile, and a reunion brings an emotionally-charged, feel-good series culmination. He’s home. “Gotta get back. Back to the past....

It seems like all is not well at Scavenger Studios. While the studio announced Season at The Game Awards 2020, a title lauded for its premise, beauty, and diversity, the culture of the studio was apparently not reflective of the ideals in the game. Nine current and former employees of Scavenger Studios were interviewed by gamesindustry.biz anonymously, and their accounts of their time in the studio were of a toxic work environment including alleged affairs, a “boy’s club,” and verbal and sexual harassment....

Shields have always been an important staple of The Legend of Zelda’s core combat loop. The fan reaction to Sonic the Hedgehog’s redesign from the upcoming live-action movie has been heard loud and clear by film’s director.
