Rogue Legacy 2 developer Cellar Door Games has announced it is delaying the game’s early access launch. Initially, Rogue Legacy 2’s early access release was intended for July 23, but it will now launch a little under a month later. Players will now have to wait until August 18 to begin playing Rogue Legacy 2’s early access build, giving Cellar Door Games the time it needs to make a more stable product, one worth “more bang for your buck,” according to the developer....

Like multiple series before it, Ape Escape is an incredibly beloved franchise that has seen an extended absence over the course of several years. However, some images posted to Twitter have been circulating around the internet that suggest the series may be making some sort of comeback in celebration of its anniversary. Spanning the course of just over a decade, the Ape Escape series’ most recent game, PlayStation Move Ape Escape, was released in 2010 in Japan and the next year in North America, Europe, and Australia....

With FF7 Remake director Tetsuya Nomura hinting that part two of the Remake might be closer than fans think, a rumor has emerged about what console FF16 might land an exclusivity deal with. While Sega hasn’t shown much interest in porting older games to the PC in the past, it seems that this is about to change. After the massive success of the Persona 4 Golden port which launched this past June, the gaming company is realizing the potential of the PC and is looking to start looking into bringing popular titles to Steam and other new systems as well. A recent study shows that nearly half of gamers play on the PC, and that means that it is a huge market for the gaming industry....

Today, the official Sonic the Hedgehog YouTube channel uploaded the trailer for Sonic Mania Plus. With this trailer, we also have a confirmed release date: July 17. In a little under three months, fans will be able to play as Mighty the Armadillo and Ray the Flying Squirrel for the first time in years. Sonic Mania originally released last year in August for digital platforms. Now with Plus, fans will be able to pick up physical copies of the acclaimed game....

Last year, Tripwire Interactive and Deep Silver released the open world shark RPG Maneater, and then followed up that initial release with next-gen versions of the game for PlayStation 5 and Xbox Series X. Now the game, in which players take control of an ever-evolving shark, will be making its way to a new platform, allowing fans to play it on the go when it launches on May 25. The Sonic the Hedgehog movie seemed to be an unlikely candidate for any considerable success. With Bloodborne and The Order: 1886 hitting store shelves earlier this year, 2015 has had a strong start for first party titles on the PlayStation 4. Sony plans to increase production of the PlayStation VR headset, according to an interview with Immersive Technology Group Director Simon Benson. The headset has proven a success, in terms quickly selling out limited supply of VR headsets made available to the public at launch. However, PlayStation VR units have remained scarce since then and Sony’s shown little inclination towards increasing hardware production. That is, until now. Benson says that Sony was “optimistic” about introducing VR onto the PlayStation platform....
