There are developers that support their games long after their release date, and then there’s Relic Entertainment. Just a few months ago, Relic released a brand new expansion for Age of Empires II a full 22 years after the game’s initial release, and now Company of Heroes 2 is getting the same treatment. It might not be an expansion, but the newly announced 64-bit upgrade will certainly bring Company of Heroes 2 into the 2020s with a massive performance boost on most computers....

Lucy Liu has landed the role of villain Kalypso in the sequel to David F. Sandberg’s Shazam with Zachari Levi. She will play the sister of Helen Mirren’s character Hespera, so it means Billy Batson has to face multiple enemies in the upcoming blockbuster. I am far too used to playing uplifting JRPGs. When I think about the genre, my head is filled with thoughts of trekking through Pokemon routes whilst humming the familiar tunes, the bombastic horns that blare as you cross the gorgeous green fields of Dragon Quest 11, and the cute, slightly awkward conversations your party has across the Tales series of games. JRPGs, in my head, are adorable and lighthearted affairs where even the act of killing god is candy-coated and sweet....

Being the Dragonborn in The Elder Scrolls V: Skyrim is hard work and players do need their respite every now and then. Not just any side quest will do, of course, they have to be fun and refreshingly comedic to balance out the pressure and seriousness of saving the world....

However, it is the lore and storytelling that does it for me. Bethesda has taken an astonishing amount of care in creating a believable story with Skyrim. However, things can be left dangling. Often, this is an artistic choice; leave something ambiguous to add to an idea’s mystique and intrigue....

With the Sonic The Hedgehog film getting up there with the other great video game films, its time to talk about a sequel. Even if it wasn’t as decent of a movie as it is, the film cost 95 million to make and has made over 200 million, so we think it’s a shoo-in for a sequel. That said, we’ve had enough of the humans other than Robotnik, James Masden was good but its time to see the other CGI horrors of the Sonic universe....

Despite its cancellation 5 years ago, one project that won’t die is Kojima Productions’ Silent Hills, the survival horror reboot of Konami’s Silent Hill franchise from Metal Gear Solid creator Hideo Kojima, and Pan’s Labyrinth director Guillermo del Toro.
