Riot Games has been in the headlines once again as a new report of sexual harassment places the CEO Nicolo Laurent in the hot seat. Following the 2018 scandal where sexist culture ran rampant in the Los Angeles-based video game company, the news was taken seriously by critics and Riot Games itself. The allegations of sexual harassment claimed Nicolo Laurent made inappropriate comments and sexual advances from the claimant identified as Sharon O’Donnell....

Harmonix announces that Rock Band 4 will finally receive the much-wanted feature of online multiplayer, with the content expected to arrive in the form of an expansion. Although Harmonix found some love from within the gaming community with the release of Rock Band 4, the title did not quite live up to expectations set from previous iterations of the Harmonix-developed franchise. In particular, there was one feature that was noticeably absent when the game released last year: online multiplayer....

Although Microsoft made plenty of many big announcements during their E3 2015 press conference, it’s arguable that one of the most crowd pleasing reveals came when the tech company confirmed the inclusion of a backward compatibility feature for the Xbox One. While NBA 2K12, at least from our perspective, seemed like a pretty complete package, it appears that Visual Concepts is not done rolling out content for it. Some new trophies and leaked images have shown up online for the game and they point to some new modes being rolled out in what we assume will be DLC. With 9 new NBA 2K12 trophies (and we assume 9 new achievements) being offered, these new modes are less focused on your traditional basketball experience, instead looking to deliver playground style games....

Marvelous has revealed new details for their farming RPG Rune Factory 5, including peeks at new bachelorette and bachelor candidates for the game, Beatrice and Lucas. A post via Gematsu translated the details, providing a little insight into their personalities, Japanese voice actors, and the game’s romantic life. Beatrice Hailing from the Nohrad Kingdom, Beatrice has a knack for musical instruments and riding monsters. She wants to keep her identity hidden, likely due to being royalty, but as she meets the protagonist and befriends the people of this kind town, she decides to be more open with everyone and return when she can....

Tosh, Sandy and Billy’s new guvnor has been confirmed by the BBC: Agatha Raisin star Ashley Jensen will head up the Shetland investigatory team as new character DI Ruth Calder in series eight of the Scottish crime drama. Calder is “a native Shetlander who returns to the isles after 20 years working for the Met in London.” She’s a fish out of water back in water then, and will presumably come with her own share of personal complications, grudges and history with the rest of the locals....

The Animorphs (written by K. A. Applegate, who had her first book in the franchise published in 1996) is a sublime work of fantasy literature targeting young readers all over the world. In addition to brilliant storytelling, the series also contains some of the most terrific characters, especially the alien races involved; good, bad, and ugly alike. It also inspired a television show that aired on Nickelodeon, that certainly didn’t live up to the books (but that’s an entirely different topic)....

Silent Hill is an iconic survival horror series and one that transcends the genre even with its missteps. Each entry in this series brings about incredible depth and lore that flesh out its characters, world, and narrative arcs. Many players are familiar with the exploits of James Sunderland or Heather Mason but may have missed the finer details throughout the series. Each Silent Hill game, no matter how divisive, has brought with it some nuanced or hidden lore that only the most eager of players will uncover....

The Sims 4 brought about a lot of changes to the classic life simulation game, including new mechanics, a more location-based playstyle, and of course dozens of expansion and stuff packs. What hasn’t changed, though, is the freedom to create whatever your heart desires (with the help of a few downloadable content packs). Despite the mounting expectations leading up to Super Bowl 55, Shang-Chi and the Legend of the Ten Rings did not get an ad spot last night. While Marvel fans were treated to the first full trailer for The Falcon and the Winter Soldier instead, many were still left disappointed at the Shang Chi snub, prompting the film’s star, Simu Liu, to reassure his fans on Twitter. Being careful not to drop it by name, Liu promised that the trailer is not only coming but that it will also be well worth the wait....

Award-winning mobile game Sky: Children of the Light is expanding its horizons and coming to Nintendo Switch this summer. Thatgamecompany’s Sky: Children of the Light was released on mobile almost two years ago and proved to be an instant hit. So much so that its devs have now announced the title is finally coming to a new platform. It revealed on Twitter and via a longer statement that Sky will launch on the platform this June, and it will be free to start....

The February 2016 update video releases for Skywind, the fan-made total overhaul modification that brings the land and characters of Morrowind to Skyrim. It’s almost hard to believe The Elder Scrolls V: Skyrim is over four years old now, but time certainly doesn’t lie. Though Skyrim has had its own bouts of modification controversy in recent times, the last several years have led to some truly stunning fan-made creations, though none of them seem to have been quite as large-scale and majestic as the complete Morrowind overhaul mod called Skywind....
