Psyonix’ free-to-play Rocket League released a trailer for its Season 2 Rocket Pass earlier this month, promising music-themed content as well as unlockables such as new cars and decals. The season began on December 9, but that’s not all the developer has planned for players through the holiday season. Way back in 2009, Microsoft had offered millions of dollars to Rockstar Games in order to bring Grand Theft Auto 4 to the Xbox 360 as well as PS3. Without the effort and $75 million (alleged) offer from Microsoft, Grand Theft Auto 4 was going to be one of Sony’s big PS3 exclusives. Grand Theft Auto 4 would eventually release multiplatform, but not without Sony making some form of agreement with Rockstar Games to develop a PS3-exclusive hit....

Rumours are pointing towards Samsung launching its Galaxy Book 3 series laptops alongside the Galaxy S23 series phones on February 1. Interactive Entertainment is Scribblenauts Showdown, a brand new Scribblenauts game coming to Nintendo Switch, PlayStation 4, and Xbox One. The game will not only have the same kind of puzzle-solving adventure we’ve all come to expect, but also feature a multiplayer component where you summon objects with words to beat your opponent senseless....

Everybody’s favorite vampire hunter is back in Unmatched: Buffy The Vampire Slayer, the latest release from publishers Mondo Games and Restoration Games. The Unmatched series of tabletop games is the spiritual successor to the 2002 Hasbro board game, Star Wars Epic Duels. Players control a primary character and two minor characters. The characters move around a map and fight against up to six people using decks of cards. Movement is limited to the playable area, which is laid out in squares about the size of the miniature footprint....

One of the biggest surprises of the PlayStation 5 game reveal event was the unveiling of Spider-Man: Miles Morales from Insomniac Games. As the video game market expands, intellectual properties become less and less exclusive. In years gone by, franchises would be strictly controlled by their publishers, the sole remit of in-house development teams and often limited to a single platform. The Resident Evil 3 demo has been out for a few days now, and dedicated fans have already searched its every nook and cranny. They’ve hunted down all the collectible dolls, discovered Mega Man easter eggs, and mastered what it takes to survive. There’s still some time to wait until the full release of Resident Evil 3 is available, and so fans have started releasing mods for the demo to keep each other entertained in the meantime....

Resident Evil 3’s campaign is a tightly knit narrative which doesn’t waste time with meaningless side stories or unnecessary characters. With that being said, there are still some unanswered questions and stories untold we’d like to see explored in future downloadable content for RE3. Resident Evil 2’s remake last year featured a DLC detailing fictional “what if” scenarios around supporting characters, but it would cooler if the recent game’s single-player content added to the lore and filled in the blanks....
