Resident Evil 2’s announcement during Sony’s E3 2018 press conference on Monday caused quite a stir. The modern remake of the horror classic is being retooled to frighten and disturb modern audiences in ways audiences in 1998 would faint to see. But along with the game’s egregious gore comes exciting new gameplay options, too. Though, to be fair, they’re exciting new gameplay options that rely on egregious gore. In Resident Evil 2, players will be able to tactically dismember zombies in visually unsettling ways that would make Dead Space’s developers flinch....

Gamers with early copies of Capcom’s Resident Evil 7 reveal the game’s three difficulty settings, including one that brings back classic gameplay mechanics. Some gamers have managed to get their hands on early copies of Resident Evil VII, resulting in a slew of previously unknown information flooding the Internet. Besides story spoilers and the game’s 10 hour length, gamers with early copies have also revealed the game’s difficulty options, which includes a special setting for hardcore survival-horror fanatics....

Resident Evil 7: Biohazard on the Nintendo Switch is a bit of a curious case. For starters, it isn’t available outside of the Japanese e-shop, nor does it have a physical edition. Gamers hoping to embark on the horrific journey also have to stream the game to their consoles and only have the option to rent it for 180 days rather than purchasing it outright. On top of all that, it seems the game may not even save progress permanently....

It’s time to rock ‘n roll once again, as Super Rare Games has announced that Project Warlock will be getting the physical release treatment on Nintendo Switch. The dream of a Nintendo Switch Pro or New Nintendo Switch could become a reality, as a report has surfaced online claiming that an upgraded Switch model is coming in 2021. Horizon: Zero Dawn was a massive success for Sony, earning selling over 10 million units worldwide and releasing to widespread critical acclaim. Considering its success, it’s a no-brainer that Sony would pursue a sequel, and if a supposed “leak” is anything to go by, that sequel will come in 2021 as a PlayStation 5 exclusive. This leak comes from a Pastebin post originally written this past December that was just recently discovered by the Internet....

Although the developers have remained tight-lipped on the ports, fans of Rust have known the popular online game would be making its way to consoles since 2019. It’s recently been teasing that these new versions are closer to completion than ever, and today, it appears a firm release window has finally been confirmed.
