After nearly 20 years of giving fans a place to enjoy video games Sega’s Building No. 2 is closing its doors. The Sega Arcade in Tokyo’s Akihabara district has officially closed as of August 30th, 2020. The building, formerly known as Akihabara GiGo, is part of the Sega complex in the anime epicenter, Akihabara. It opened in October of 2003 and has since become a landmark and a fixture for video game and anime fans around the world....

During the Devolver Direct, they announced Shadow Warrior 3. The game will come out sometime in 2021. Devolver opened their direct with a new trailer for Shadow Warrior 3. The game, developed by Flying Wild Hog, showed off bloody decapitations of enemies, one-liners, and fast-paced movement. The sequel to 2016’s Shadow Warrior 2 is what people expect from a Shadow Warrior game. The gameplay trailer also featured a grappling hook, which players can use to move around the map and use to grab objects to destroy enemies....

Call of Duty Modern Warfare has hit its stride with recent content updates and the growing Warzone community. Over the course of each new season, players have had access to new weapons to run around Verdansk. From the speed demon that is the fennec to the beloved Grau, there are enough guns to fit the various playstyles of each player. However, with any new weapon added, there is bound to be balance patches to help address any unfair advantages players may exploit....

In an announcement that rocked the streaming world, Microsoft revealed that it is shutting down the Mixer streaming platform and partnering with Facebook Gaming. Macho Man Randy Savage dragon mod creator Fancy Pants confirms his creation will be making its way to Skyrim Remaster on Xbox One but not PlayStation 4. In the years since the release of The Elder Scrolls 5: Skyrim there have been hundreds of mods available for the game. Some improve the visuals, some improve the UI, and some add a little unexpected “flavor” to the experience. One of those Skyrim mods that took the community by storm but didn’t really add anything was the Macho Man Randy Savage Dragon mod....

Developer Rebellion announces that World War II shooter Sniper Elite 4 is being delayed into 2017, alongside the reveal of several new screenshots from the game. In recent years, it certainly seems as though more high-profile releases receive delays than manage to launch on schedule. A few weeks ago, No Man’s Sky was pushed back to August, while a number of games including Uncharted 4 and The Division failed to meet their provisional 2015 deadlines....

Earlier this week, Sony was in the news once more as rumors indicated that the Japanese company was in advanced discussions to purchase Take-Two Interactive. This would give Sony exclusive access to some big name IPs like Bioshock, XCOM, the NBA 2K series, and of course, all of the megahits from the portfolio of Rockstar Games. While these reports resulted in Take-Two’s stock prices to jump 5%, it seems that the excitement was a bit premature....

It’s been revealed that Square Enix’s Guardian of the galaxy game will also be coming to Nintendo Switch this October. Announced during Nintendo’s E3 Direct, Guardians of the Galaxy was re-revealed for Nintendo Switch, launching on the same day as every other system on October 26th. Seeing as Guardians of the Galaxy is likely going to be a very intense game to run on the Switch, don’t be too surprised if it’s coming to the system via cloud streaming....

While Crytek has been hard at work refining the intense online game Hunt: Showdown, as well as making Hunt’s currently delayed Halloween event accessible to console players, documents have leaked regarding the studio’s future projects. While it is unclear how recent the documents were gathered and how reliable the leak is, the most interesting information is related to the Crysis IP, as Crytek supposedly has both a VR Crysis game and a battle royale in the works....

With the news that Ryan Coogler is set to direct a Wakanda series on Disney Plus, fans naturally began to wonder what exactly the series would be exploring. Since it’s not a mainline MCU film, and so far has not been confirmed to be about any Black Panther storyline specifically, the show could really touch on any number of topics. Hot off the heels of releasing Saints Row IV on the Switch, THQ Nordic has announced it will be remastering Saints Row: The Third for PC, PS4, and Xbox One. Why this was chosen instead of the far superior Saints Row 2 I don’t know, but this game will be coming on May 22, 2020, in the form of the “Full Package” edition. That version includes all previously released DLC and was ported to Switch last year....
