The first major content update for Sea of Thieves is now available, as Rare has unleashed The Hungering Deep within the open world pirate game. The servers have gone live once more, with maintenance for patch 1.1.0 completed early Tuesday morning. The Hungering Deep introduces new content for Sea of Thieves players to discover. Many of The Hungering Deep’s new features have been detailed in past Rare developer updates including customizable flags, scars, and tattoos, as well as a new drum instrument, and the useful speaking trumpet....

Electronic Arts capped off its EA Play 2020 presentation with a major announcement for skateboarding game fans: the Skate franchise is coming back. Skate 4, or whatever the new game ends up being called, was confirmed to be in development by directors Cuz Parry and Deran Chung, though further details on what it may entail have yet to be revealed at the time of this writing. Parry and Chung also confirmed that the new Skate game is in the very early stages of development....

Season 8 just launched today, bringing in a new era for the unique MOBA game and adding even more things for players to do. Recently, Capcom released some new Resident Evil 2 remake screenshots featuring Claire Redfield. Claire has largely been absent from the game’s early marketing , but it looks like it’s finally time for Ms. Redfield to have her time in the spotlight. She hasn’t gotten the full trailer treatment just yet, but some gameplay footage starring Resident Evil 2’s other highly-capable protagonist has made its way online at least. The scene opens with Claire encountering Sherry Birkin, the daughter of Umbrella Corporation researcher William Birkin....

The original Resident Evil 3 wasn’t particularly puzzle heavy, but they were at least a constant presence. Not so in the 2020 remake. Resident Evil 3’s remake plays up the action at the expense of puzzle solving, leaving little for players to mentally chew on. That said, there are a few puzzles that might stump players – especially if they don’t thoroughly explore Raccoon City. The Subway Station Monument is the first major puzzle Jill runs into in Resident Evil 3, requiring exploration of Raccoon City to complete fully....

When Capcom first announced Resident Evil 8 at the PlayStation 5 reveal event, the next-generation survival-horror game was only confirmed for PC, PlayStation 5, and Xbox Series X.
