The CMU-BR100 sits well against the Bravia HX853’s design, sound is picked up well and it’s super easy to install. But the combination of TV app and camera unit just didn’t produce great quality visuals for the near-£100 asking price - we wanted that bit more from the Skype app TV space as there’s so much potential here....

Google’s Android updates are good for two things: 1) making users hungry for tasty treats and 2) adding a bunch of cool new features. Sony has revealed that their gaming smartphone, the Xperia PLAY will not receive the latest Android update, Ice Cream Sandwich. Plenty of Android smartphones are already on the Ice Cream Sandwich update - version 4.0.4, to be specific - but due to issues with stability, Sony has decided that it would be better to forego the update and keep the Xperia PLAY on “Gingerbread” - we told you these names would make you hungry....

Microsoft’s Xbox Game Pass service is quickly becoming an excellent way for fighting game fans to stay in the loop. Starting today, Bandai Namco’s Soulcalibur VI is available to subscribers of the Netflix-like subscription service on Xbox One. It’s a bit of a bummer that the PC port isn’t included, but this addition is welcomed for those that may be looking to break into the fighting game community. Alongside the tale of swords and souls eternally retold, Fallout 76 will be added to both PC and Xbox One on July 9....

The guessing is over. After a playful tease from members of the Marvel cast, Marvel’s “Spider-Man 3” officially has a title. Marvel’s third spiderman installment will be titled “Spider-Man: No Way Home,” continuing the “home” subtitle trend as seen in the previous Marvel Spiderman films. Accompanying this announcement is the release date of Christmas Day, 2021. The news comes from a small video clip posted on the official Marvel Twitter page....

Nintendo is getting aggressive with the Splatoon 2 content, with two game-changing weapons set to drop this week. Resident Evil 7 is less than two weeks away from release, and in an attempt to build excitement for the upcoming survival-horror game, Capcom has released yet another new trailer for it. The new Resident Evil 7 trailer gives fans a glimpse at the Baker family plantation, and teases some of the terrible things the Bakers have been up to, like kidnapping and cannibalism....

Reliable leakers revealed the existence of a Resident Evil 4 remake last year, which split the Resident Evil community. Some fans are undoubtedly excited to play a Resident Evil 4 remake, but others have complained about Capcom seemingly skipping over Resident Evil Code: Veronica, an older game that’s arguably in more dire need to be remade than the universally acclaimed RE4. Head of Xbox Phil Spencer has teased that a new Battletoads game is in development ever since he appeared on stage wearing a shirt with the franchise’s logo. No announcements have been made in the years since, but now new evidence seems to suggest that a new Battletoads game is in fact in development. This is thanks to the web page for David Wise, a video game composer who has worked on games like Donkey Kong Country, Yooka-Laylee, and the original Battletoads....

We have known that Google is entering the gaming sector for a while now, but the latest rumors suggest they have backup: Sega. In a video on his YouTube channel, Jonathan Downey, who posts under the channel name Spawn Wave, has outlined all the reasons why he thinks Google is about to enter the gaming market with a console.
