The revival of Lucasfilm Games has reignited much of the gaming community’s excitement for potential Star Wars projects, especially with the announcement of Ubisoft and Massive Entertainment’s open-world Star Wars game - the first non-EA published Star Wars game in almost a decade (not counting Lego Star Wars: The Force Awakens). One of the projects that has fans excited is the possibility of a Star Wars: Knights of the Old Republic reboot, but before then fans could be treated to remasters of the original two PC and Xbox titles....

In a recent interview with the magazine Empire, lead actor in the historical epic Gladiator, Russell Crowe, revealed that the original screenplay for the movie contained a major difference from how the final release ended. The interview was conducted in honor of the twentieth anniversary of Gladiator, but it’s enough of a gem to warrant a spoiler warning nonetheless. In the final script, Crowe’s character Maximus Decimus Meridius, “father to a murdered son, husband to a murdered wife,” has his vengeance in this life before dying from his wounds....

Yesterday at the Game Awards, Xbox and the developer Rare released a new trailer for Sea of Thieves that revealed its release date. Considering it was previously delayed from a 2017 to a 2018 release, this new date may excite many fans who have been waiting for more information about the game. Sega’s 60th anniversary is swiftly approaching, and the company is promoting some kind of announcement on March 25 that will involve forgotten mascot Segata Sanshiro. Segata Sanshiro was the mascot for the Saturn in Japan. Segata was a judo master who used to hassle people until they played Saturn games. The character was popular in Japan at the time, but the popularity extended to the character and not the product, considering how the Saturn was crushed by the Nintendo 64 and the original PlayStation during this era, at least outside of Japan....

Throughout the world of Sekiro: Shadows Die Twice there are tons of bosses and mini-bosses that players will need to learn and then defeat. Some require simple tactics, like dodges and well-timed strikes, while others are a bit more complex and require an understanding of Sekiro’s posture system. BioWare revealed in the studio’s Gamescom video for Dragon Age 4 that the protagonist of the upcoming RPG would be used to explore “what happens when you don’t have power.” It’s a sharp change from the Inquisitor from the last game, who was launched to continent-wide political importance at the end of the game’s first act. Sony looks poised to break into the gambling industry, as it patents its own “Esports Betting System“. As spotted by Gaming Route, the patent was granted May 13 of this year. Along with the patent, there is a description which reads as follows: Translated from business jargon, this means that Sony is considering setting up a service in which Esports fans can watch matches, while the same service advertises and hosts a way to bet on the results....

Sony’s upcoming DualSense might be a little more advanced than players may be comfortable with. A patent filed by Sony Interactive Entertainment back in February was recently published, and it details that the PlayStation 5 controller will be able to tell whenever someone picks it up. More specifically, it’ll be able to tell who picks it up. As one would expect, the patent details this potential DualSense controller feature with a bunch of technical jargon....
