One of the women of Final Fantasy IX was intended to be a man, as Ruby of the Tantalus Theater Troupe was originally meant to be a cross-dresser. Ruby is a minor character in Final Fantasy IX and is the only female member of Tantalus. She is left behind when Tantalus split up and have their own adventures, leading to her forming her own theater company in Alexandria. Final Fantasy IX was intended to be a throwback to the older titles in the series, and it seems that bringing back cross-dressing was originally on the cards....

One of the most bizarre Call of Duty game modes is Prop Hunt, wherein some players take to the battlefield as the usual soldiers, and others take the form of random inanimate objects blending in with the environment. The strange and oftentimes hilarious game mode has been featured in multiple Call of Duty games in the past, but has yet to appear in Call of Duty: Modern Warfare. According to u/notexpectedbut, who claims to be a part of marketing at Warner Bros., Hogwarts: A Dark Legacy takes place after Harry Potter’s time at Hogwarts and even after his children have come and gone from the hallowed halls....

Supposed industry insider and NeoGAF user Ekim claims that Dead Rising 4 will be announced at this year’s E3 event, and that it will ‘make fans of the series happy.’ Whenever E3 is almost upon us, the video game rumor mill works overtime, as details on what the big press conferences have in store tend to slip out ahead of the event. Game streaming and cloud-based services have become more and more popular as companies try to distance themselves from hardware. Samsung has tried to break into the streaming industry with the PlayGalaxy Link PC-to-mobile service. Unfortunately, Samsung announced that PlayGalaxy will be discontinued on March 27th. Samsung’s streaming service is fairly unknown to many gamers. The service has been overshadowed by bigger services like Google Stadia. The PlayGalaxy service is so unknown that the announcement to discontinue services was made back on February 26th, but was so quiet that many did not realize that the announcement was made until today....

Square Enix recently updated Final Fantasy XIV Online with Patch 5.45, the latest update in the Futures Rewritten story for the Shadowbringers expansion. Headlining the new Patch 5.45 update is the Save the Queen multi-part adventure questline, new large-scale battle content called Delubrum Reginae, updates on the Blue Mage, Resistance Weapon, and Skysteel Tool, as well as a variety of smaller new items and bug fixes. One of the most impressive games debuted at this week’s Inside Xbox event was Bandai Namco’s upcoming action RPG Scarlet Nexus. The title sees players taking the role of Yuito Sumeragi, the newest recruit to the Other Suppression Force (OSF), as they use psychokinetic powers to rid the world of a race of deranged mutants known as the Others. Previously, the game had only been confirmed for release on Xbox One and Xbox Series X, with use of their unique “Smart Delivery” feature, however, Bandai Namco has now confirmed that Scarlet Nexus will also release on PlayStation 4 and PlayStation 5....

With six members in the League of Evil Exes defeated, only one remains. The most powerful member and leader of the group, Gideon Graves, stands between players and completion. Scott Pilgrim and his friends will need to use all the skills and abilities they’ve learned so far to beat the game’s most difficult boss. Depression is a hard topic to get right in video games. The sorrow, the pain, that harrowing feeling of being closed off from the rest of the world, it’s all portrayed impeccably in Sea of Solitude: Director’s Cut, and this game truly made me reflect on my own feelings during a stressful time. I too have felt isolated from the world, especially during the COVID-19 pandemic. I’ve intentionally cut myself off from others and have suffered from depression first-hand, and one of the characters in the game especially deals with those issues....

The fifth Tall Tale is Sea of Thieves Shores of Gold Arc is Wild Rose, a tragic love story. Following the hearts of Rose and George across the Shores of Plenty region, this Tall Tale includes both puzzle solving and combat. Although the Wild Rose Tall Tale is smaller in scope than some of the Tall Tales you will have already done, it stills worth having an extra set of cutlasses and pistols to help you should you encounter the other pirates, or the foes set about in the path of George and Rose....

We can definitively say that Sea of Thieves has improved since launch. The game became vastly different than its vanilla version after several free DLCs were made available to players. Developer Rare is one of the most reputable companies around. When we heard they were developing a seafaring pirate game, we were stoked. Many would agree that Sea of Thieves is difficult to grasp in its current state. Let’s sort out the best features the game has to offer....

Skater XL fans have cause for excitement, as Easy Day Studios just unveiled a brand new map for the game. This map can be accessed by searching in the Mod Browser, and is a full adaptation of the real world Embarcadero Park. The reveal trailer is fairly simple, showing various skaters doing tricks in and around the park, likely attempting to let the map speak for itself.
