From Apex Legends to Destiny 2, games are often datamined by dedicated fans who are looking for clues about future content or features. It seems that despite only being out for a couple days, Risk of Rain 2 has already been datamined. Reddit user AtheosLoL dove into the Risk of Rain 2 data files and found assets for a popular character from the first Risk of Rain: The Bandit. This means that this fan-favorite character could soon be added to the list of Risk of Rain 2 characters to unlock in the game....

This Riverdale review contains spoilers. Riverdale Season 5 Episode 11 “What the hell just happened?” Following a lengthy hiatus, Riverdale has finally returned with its final batch of episodes from the series’ fifth season. As you may or may not recall, when credits rolled on the previous episode Riverdale High was being destroyed by convicts freed by Mr. Lodge from his prison, Veronica had retreated to New York City, and, most excitingly, Jughead was apparently abducted by aliens (which, in this show’s universe, would be a pretty ordinary development)....

About a year ago, sources close to the video game developer Rockstar Games stated that Bully 2 would be the studio’s next project after Red Dead Redemption 2 has been finished and is officially out the door. Now, it looks as if yet another bit of scuttlebutt is making the rounds online potentially supporting the second entry’s existence, for it appears as if casting calls related to the sequel have been released by the casting director Jessica Jefferies....

Fable 4 might be announced at this year’s E3. It’s no secret that Microsoft is up to something, and that something probably involves the Fable IP. We know that Microsoft is reeling to catch up with Nintendo and Sony in creating some memorable franchises of their own, and Fable seems to be one of the likeliest sources. To that end, Eurogamer reported that Microsoft is making a fourth Fable game with the help of Playground Games, the studio that gave us the Forza Horizon franchise....

Sony hosts the next PlayStation State of Play on February 25 — today, and according to the announcement detailing the event, it will focus on ten different games for both the PlayStation 4 and the PlayStation 5. Included among these titles will be new announcements from both third-party and indie developers. As Final Fantasy 7 Remake comes from Square Enix, a third-party developer, it could potentially be one of the titles that the State of Play chooses to dedicate its 30-minute runtime to....

It looks like yet another triple AAA title is being forced to break up their Xbox 360 version across multiple discs to support all of its content, and this time it’s a really big name title. Battlefield 3, the highly anticipated Call of Duty competitor, is, according to a Japanese poster, going to span the length of two DVDs for its Xbox 360 version. While we can assume that one disc will contain the game’s revamped single player mode, and the second will be home to every piece of fantastic multiplayer content, it’s still a bit of an inconvenience to have to switch from one disc to the other....

Media Molecule became famous for its LittleBigPlanet series before going off to make the sandbox creation game Dreams for PS4. Now the property is under the purview of Sumo Digital, and today a new 3D-platforming game called Sackboy: A Big Adventure was announced during the “Future of Gaming” PlayStation 5 event. The title appears to lean more into LittleBigPlanet’s platforming side than its level creation aspects, featuring up to four-player co-op with new characters that have very colorful designs compared to the recognizable brown knit look of the title character, Sackboy....

With 2020 being a stacked year of impressive game releases, one of the under the radar hits came in the form of a 2D action farm simulator. Sakuna: of Rice and Ruin released back in November for the Switch, PlayStation 4, and PC, and has found considerable success. Now just over two months after its initial launch, publisher XSEED Games has released a new update for the title. XSEED posted the January 7 patch notes for Sakuna: Of Rice and Ruin on Twitter noting the bug fixes and adjustments with the new update....

Much like the previous titles developed by From Software, Sekiro: Shadows Die Twice is filled with challenging bosses and encounters that will put player skill to the test. While the combat in Sekiro shares some similarity to Dark Souls and Bloodborne, if players try to take down hard enemies like they did in previous games, they will likely be met with a swift death. One of the hardest bosses near the beginning of the game is the Chained Ogre, which players will need to be careful fighting if they want to walk away alive and unlock Sekiro Hard Mode....

Yesterday, fans unearthed evidence, in the source code of the recently launched Shenmue 3 pre-order website, that seemed to suggest that Shenmue 3 would release on Xbox One. Prior to this discovery, players had only received indication that the title would release for PlayStation 4 and PC, and the idea that it might be coming to Microsoft’s console gave interested Xbox One owners some hope. However, the game’s publisher has now chimed in on the matter with what may come as disappointing news to these hopeful fans....

The Elder Scrolls universe has some of the most intriguing lore out of any RPG franchise. Everything from gods to weapons has some sort of backstory that makes for an immersive experience. Despite more recent games focusing less on the franchise’s excellent lore, it still has many interesting characters that take advantage of the setting. Unfortunately, one of Skyrim’s most underutilized characters is the Daedric Prince Boethiah. Known for their use of trickery and fascination with violence, Boethiah is one of the franchise’s most interesting Daedric Princes that is underutilized in its Daedric quest....

When it comes to the most unique side quest in Skyrim, there’s no denying that A Night To Remember ranks high. It’s one of those quests that completely takes a new player by surprise, and leads them on a wild goose chase to find out what exactly happened during their night of drinking. Turns out, this is a Daedric quest by Sanguine, the Daedric Prince of all things hedonistic. Lover of booze and parties, Sanguine isn’t exactly a cruel prince but rather just a creature that loves fooling and tempting mortals into reveling....

Having a faithful steed can be a great asset in many video games. They usually provide a faster form of travel, companionship, and possibly generate hilarious memes. A great example of this is found in The Elder Scrolls V: Skyrim. The strong stallions and mares of the northern province offer great benefits; sometimes without tangible reason. Other times, they make the game’s physics engine freak out or forget the basic laws of reality....

E3 is right around the corner, and that means the rumour mill is in full flow, churning out leaks and conspiracy theories and predictions at the same rate as Doomguy ripping demons into tiny chunks of flesh. As is the nature of rumours, some will prove to be correct, some will be vague enough that they seem right in hindsight, and others will be wrong. Because we know the line-up of which publishers and studios are attending E3, there’s fertile ground for these predictions....

A Twitter user managed to successfully install Crysis 3 on their RTX 3090 graphics card, running it at 4K resolution. Apparently, the Nvidia GPU was able to handle the game on very high settings with respectable fps and quick load times. It turns out it can run Crysis – quite literally. Strife212, the Twitter user who pulled it off, summarized their successful experiment in an earlier tweet this weekend. Installing Crysis 3 on the new RTX 3090 was made possible by use of its 24G of video RAM, or VRAM....
