Psyonix releases a BioShock-esque trailer for Rocket League, revealing a brand new aquatic arena, the Aquadome, which will be added to the game for free in October. Even though it’s been well over a year since Rocket League was first unleashed on the masses, the popularity of the soccer-with-cars game persists. This is largely due to developer Psyonix releasing both free and paid updates for the game on a regular basis, meaning fans constantly have new content to sink their teeth into, whether that’s new cosmetic items or new arenas to master....

For players who want to get a taste of Rockstar’s library, or for the few left who don’t have Grand Theft Auto 5, a huge sale has just begun on Steam with deals of up to 70% off. In their investor call for the fiscal year 2013, publisher Take-Two Interactive revealed that the last 12 months were very lucrative ones. With the launch of Grand Theft Auto 5 and the sustained revenue stream of Grand Theft Auto Online, the company was able to turn a huge profit and bumped up total revenue by 94%. In addition to talk of past financial success, however, Take-Two also dropped a hint as to what gamers can expect in the future....

Joe Ruby, best known for co-creating the cartoon Scooby-Doo, died of natural causes at his home on Wednesday Aug. 26, according to Variety. He was 87. Ruby along with his partner Ken Spears, also made Dynomutt and Jabberjaw, and the 1988 animated Superman series, as well as making cartoons out of Pac-Man, Rubik The Amazing Cube, Donkey Kong. They masterminded Space Ace, Dink the Little Dinosaur, It’s Punky Brewster, and TV movies Bunnicula, the Vampire Rabbit and The Cabbage Patch Kids First Christmas....

The team behind the Silent Hill 2: Enhanced Edition recently pushed its sixth update package to the 19-year-old survival horror game. The update features some major graphical upgrades such as upscaled images, widescreen map support, and integrated shaders. Along with the graphics improvements, the team also added a nifty new screenshot feature, and fixed a few obnoxious visual and audio bugs. Easy Day Studios has released a new trailer for Skater XL revealing three levels created by members of the community that will be available at launch. The game is set to launch on July 28 to home consoles and PC in a major attempt to secure a position in the skating genre. The new skateboarding title revealed a level earlier this month based upon real-life skate spots, with the three community-created maps following suit in paying homage to skate culture....

Your main goal in Sky: Children Of The Light is freeing trapped Spirits and returning them to the light. There are a lot of Spirits to find in Daylight Prairie and some are a little trickier to find than others. Daylight Prairie is a realm that gives you more chances to find your wings and get used to flying. The only downside to this realm is that there are no ways around the multi-person puzzles....

Even though he is one of the two characters that the player will follow out of Helgen in Skyrim, Hadvar isn’t a character this is focused on all that much, despite the fact that the player’s survival was entirely due to him helping them. While he does return for the Civil War questline if players choose the Imperial Legion, his character arc is fairly limited outside of this. This means that there isn’t all that much shown about the character at a first glance....

After more than 20 years of being an avid gamer, I have yet to experience lore in a game that is more enchanting than The Elder Scrolls. My focus here will be on Skyrim, as it’s the Elder Scrolls game I’ve spent the most amount of time on—by far. There are many reasons that people are still playing Skyrim so long after the game came out in 2011, and one of the most prominent is because of the Elder Scrolls’ vast lore and the way it’s subtly integrated into the game....

SCEI president Shuhei Yoshida delivers some bad news to JRPG fans today, as he confirms via Twitter that Sony is not currently developing a Japanese RPG of their own. Yoshida, when asked “can we expect a Sony-made RPG in the future?” by a French PlayStation gamer, replied with a resounding “no,” crushing the hopes of JRPG fans everywhere. The outspoken Sony Computer Entertainment boss was answering Twitter questions as part of the Ask Me Anything session on the French PlayStation Twitter account earlier today, fielding inquiries from French fans and responding to each tweet with a small video that featured Yoshida himself delivering the good or bad news....

Sony is getting ready to turn EVO into something even bigger than it was before, with a series of open online tournaments that will precede EVO 2021 Online. Before the takeover by Sony and esports venture firm RTS, EVO had suffered the worst of its fates in over two decades of existence when 2020’s own online edition was canceled due to sexual harassment allegations against “Mr. Wizard,” the tournament’s organizer. With that dark chapter now in the past, 2021’s EVO Online will make room in fighting games’ biggest stage allowing entrants from most parts of the world to enter for a chance at glory and some pretty decent prizes....
