This leaked ad sort of makes it look like Microsoft and Sega are shacking up. Back in 2018, Microsoft had a bunch of Sega executives over to discuss… something. At the time, rumors speculated that the two companies were discussing a merger, but afterward, nothing seemed to come of it. Or maybe it just took a lot longer than we expected. Rumors abound that Microsoft and Sega are up to something, and a recently leaked E3 ad makes it seem like a merger is back on the table....

Last year, Microsoft acquired Bethesda in one of the biggest video game buyouts ever. The Xbox creator purchased Bethesda’s parent company ZeniMax for a total of $7.5 billion. In doing so, it granted itself exclusive ownership over popular gaming franchises such as Fallout and Skyrim, and whatever else Bethesda creates in the future. It was the kind of move many Xbox fans hoped Microsoft would make, as the console suffered from not having as many popular, exclusive games as the PlayStation....

Sekiro: Shadows Die Twice is getting an unofficial mod that will support a player versus player component of the game. While still undergoing development and ironing out any bugs, crashes, and glitches, the multiplayer mod is being posted on YouTuber LukeYui’s channel. There, people can get an initial idea of how the mod works, what the other player’s model looks like, animations, attacks, and a lot more. German publisher Deep Silver has announced that the third follow-up to one of the biggest cult games of all time will once again be delayed, this time to sometime in 2019. “Deep Silver today announce that their upcoming release Shenmue III has been moved and will now release in 2019,” reads a statement from the company....

The prospect of playing The Elder Scrolls 5: Skyrim with a friend or a group of fellow fans has been beguiling the game’s community since the RPG released in 2011, a situation that was made even more complicated when 2012’s Elder Scrolls Online launched and wasn’t the multiplayer Skyrim many had hoped it would be. The PlayStation 5 Showcase featured so much. Many new games were announced like the upcoming God of War sequel and viewers got a closer look at previously announced games like Spider-Man: Miles Morales. But one of the biggest announcements came with that of the PlayStation Plus Collection. Advertised as the new PlayStation Plus benefit for PS5, the service looks like Sony’s answer to Microsoft’s Game Pass. The Space Invaders brand is about to enter a brand new reality with this new upcoming title from Square Enix Montreal. Announced during today’s Square Enix Presents livestream, Taito is collaborating with the mobile game studio to create an augmented reality Space Invaders game.
