For nearly two decades, the Spider-Man films have entertained audiences across the world and grossed billions of dollars. But the different film series and shared rights to star in Marvel movies have left people wondering if Spider-Man is technically part of the MCU or something greater. Recent news, however, has clarified that there is a new name which can be used to refer to these films. Sony’s studio answered in response to a question from IGN that the film universe should be called the Sony Pictures Universe of Marvel Characters....

One of the biggest and most successful TV dramas of all time, The Sopranos on HBO ended with its infamous black screen 13 years ago. Even though the show is over, however, the cast isn’t done getting together. Series creator David Chase and several members of the cast will be reuniting for the first time since the show’s 20th anniversary in order to raise money for charity. They will be raising money for Friends of Firefighters, a non-profit charity dedicated to supporting FDNY firefighters and their families that was founded in the aftermath of 9/11....

Spider-Man: Miles Morales is preparing to release alongside Sony’s PlayStation 5 next month, and recently Insomniac Games confirmed Miles Morales and Spider-Man PS4 Remastered have gone gold, meaning they are officially done with development. Marketing for the games will undoubtedly ramp up as they approach their official launch, and an interesting new piece of content unveiled one of Miles’ suits that many should want to get their hands on. Insomniac posted a blurb from the “crime” section of the in-universe publication Daily Bugle Now on Twitter and Instagram that questions the sudden appearance of a second Spider-Man....

Following its lengthy reveal of upcoming changes to the new player experience in Final Fantasy XIV Online, Square Enix has announced that the game now boasts over 20 million registered users. The news comes as little surprise given how well developed the game has been since its relaunch years ago. With the announcement of patch 5.3, free players will now be able to reach level 60, up from level 35....

Video game developer and publisher Capcom officially releases the first trailer for its forthcoming fully computer generated movie known as Resident Evil: Vendetta. Last week, at Tokyo Game Show 2016, Capcom unveiled information about its upcoming Resident Evil CG film with flourishes from the first game. Now, following its recent reveal of details and screenshots for the movie at TGS 2016, the company has decided to put out the first trailer for the 2017 theatrical release....

Since launch, Capcom has supported Resident Evil 7 with a variety of DLC to extend the gameplay experience. Some of this DLC, like the Daughters tape, offers players a deeper look at the game’s world and story, but other DLC looks to increase the challenge for players wanting to push their skills to the limit. Out of all the DLC Capcom has released for Resident Evil 7 so far, the most challenging piece of content is the Ethan Must Die mode....

Capcom held a Resident Evil showcase this week to unveil more details regarding the spooky sequel to Resident Evil 7, Resident Evil 8, otherwise known as Resident Evil Village. The livestreamed presentation showed off the first gameplay for the survival-horror title and revealed a release date, a special collectors edition, and even a new multiplayer side game that’s available for free to those that purchase Resident Evil 8. Resident Evil Re:Verse is a special bonus gift for RE8 owners, similar to how Resident Evil Resistance came included with the Resident Evil 3 remake....

Tomonori Takano, Resident Evil Village’s art director, told IGN that Morticia Addams inspired the tall and beloved Lady Dimitrescu from the upcoming Resident Evil village - that staggering 10ft behemoth. “In the early stages of planning, we decided on going with [a] castle and vampires motifs, he told IGN, “However, we did not want to be constrained by how vampires have been portrayed in various forms of popular entertainment.” The franchise has branched out from zombies in the past, so it’s no surprise that they are delving beyond the undead brain-eaters that kickstarted it all back in the first game....

Rising Star Games has confirmed that there will be patches going out for the technically marred Deadly Premonition 2: A Blessing in Disguise. Many reviews have criticized the game’s terrible performance on the hybrid console. However, there may be a few fixes on the way. The publisher said that the developer of DP2 is “constantly working on improving the title and patches are in the works.” The exact details of the upcoming patches are still unknown....

Psyonix has announced that Rocket League will soon be free-to-play on the Epic Games Store. This is great news, and will add even more players to a game that, five years after launch, is brimming with activity, high-quality updates, and a growing esports scene. Saints Row The Third is a game full of interesting missions and quirky characters.
