Frank narrates over austere newsreel footage of Chicago’s history, which gradually devolves into the slovenly nature that is more Shameless’ speed. Frank’s Zelig-like revisionist take on the city illustrates how Gallaghers have been involved with every important event that shaped Chicago, whether it’s the takedown of Capone or the Trial of the Chicago Seven (which would have been the Chicago Eight if Frank were also apprehended, he contends)....

Sony has now updated the title’s PlayStation Store listing and website, providing more information on the targeted performance and technical features. Sony recently unveiled the return of its State of Play event, which has been missing in action since last December. This is likely because there has been a heavier focus on PS5 events such as the Road to PS5 or the PS5 Reveal event, but it has left many confused nonetheless. The next State of Play takes place on August 6th at 1 PM PT, and the PlayStation Twitter account has taken extra care to point out that there will be no big PS5 reveals at the event, setting expectations ahead of time and most likely ensuring a positive experience....

On April 2, 2020, Sony announced that it would be delaying The Last of Us Part 2 indefinitely as a result of the COVID-19 pandemic. The company stated that the virus had caused logistical issues with the game’s release, and so it would launch it at another date. Since the company has no idea when this date will be, it has decided to refund pre-order money to individuals that pre-ordered the game digitally....

Sony is willing to buy game developers as it prepares to launch the PlayStation 5, the company confirms. As well as studio acquisitions, the company’s PS5 strategy is rumored to make the new console appeal to hardcore gamers, an audience that enjoys talking about technical specs and less mainstream game releases. Speaking to Nikkei, Sony Interactive Entertainment President Jim Ryan revealed that he is looking at the merger or acquisition of other game developers....

With the release of South Park: The Fractured But Whole just a weekend away, Ubisoft has decided it’s time to unveil the raunchy RPG’s post-launch DLC plans. South Park: The Fractured But Whole’s Season Pass features a collection of three DLC packs to be delivered in the months after launch, as well some “Day One” DLC to help with the wait. Those who buy the full game will be able to purchase the Season Pass starting on October 17, launch day, for an additional $29....

Spider-Man for the PS4 is one of the most highly-anticipated games of this year, and Insomniac Games has done an excellent job of maintaining that excitement with the release of interviews, gameplay, and trailers. Now, another trailer has been released for the upcoming arachnid adventure, and it looks pretty stellar. A lot of the gameplay has been seen before, like the helicopter sequence and the scene on top of the prison, but there’s also some cool new stuff, including some glamor shots of New York and a couple of villain action shots....

The upcoming Spider-Man for PS4 is set to update the wall-crawler’s look when it drops later this year, but it’s also giving one of Spidey’s classic villains a makeover. Shocker, a baddie that fires sonic blasts from devices on his wrists, is getting a souped-up costume that seems to offer a lot more protection. Fans might find this armored take on the villain to be… shocking. Now that the obvious pun is out of the way, we can take a serious look at Shocker’s design for the game....

A lot can be said in a video game title, no matter how short the title may be. Some may be fairly straightforward, which brings to mind the likes of Super Mario and The Legend of Zelda. Although it has been months since Capcom confirmed Resident Evil 8 to be in development, there isn’t much information that is known about the game as of yet. Currently, Capcom has only revealed that Resident Evil 8 will be in first-person, will take place in a village, will feature the return of Chris Redfield and Ethan Winters, and will have enemies like werewolf-type creatures, witches, and infected villagers. However, Capcom recently released new art for Chris Redfield, which appears to hint at the character’s fate in the game....

Capcom is elbow-deep in the development of the next installment in of its iconic horror franchise, Resident Evil 8. At the moment, exact details with regards to its story are still a mystery, apart from the fact that it will mostly take place in some village, feature enemies like werewolves and possibly witches, and will feature Ethan Winters and Chris Redfield. Most importantly, its release date is still unknown, but Capcom revealed that the game would launch for the PC and next-gen consoles sometime in 2021....

Resident Evil Village’s tall vampire lady has caused the internet at large to go completely feral. This is understandable: she is an eight-foot-tall vampire lady. For almost as long as video games have been around, boxing video games have been around too. It’s no surprise really, especially considering how beloved the sport is around the globe.
