Atlus has revealed that Shin Megami Tensei 3 Nocturne HD Remake will launch May 25 on Nintendo Switch, PS4, and PC via Steam. Pre-orders are available now, and those who do choose to pre-order the Digital Deluxe Edition will have access to the game four days early on May 21. Shin Megami Tensei 3 Nocturne made its debut back in 2003 as another dark installment to the SMT universe from Atlus....

UndeadScout and IMGN.PRO release a new trailer for the Silent Hill and Twin Peaks-inspired horror game Husk, revealing the game’s story and release date. The horror game renaissance kicked off by Amnesia: The Dark Descent has resulted in a steady stream of games for genre fans to sink their teeth into. The night sky in Skyrim is truly one of the most beautiful scenes rendered in a video game. At times it’s pitch dark so you can barely see in front of your own face, but others it’s a gorgeous Northern Lights display, filled with so much color it brightens the night. Several months ago, David Hayter, the original voice actor for Solid Snake in Konami’s Metal Gear Solid franchise, reprised his role in a tribute video to commemorate the 31st anniversary of the long-running stealth-action series. Now, Hayter has decided to team up with Cam Clarke, the voice of the first MGS game’s antagonist Liquid Snake, to perform a special rendition of the much-beloved “The Night Before Christmas”. As seen in the video below, Clarke and Hayter briefly acknowledge Solid Snake and Liquid Snake’s kinship as twin brothers before launching into their Metal Gear Solid-themed version of the Christmas poem, calling it, “The Night Before Metal Gear”....

While we know that Sony has plenty of exciting titles in development for the PS4, it’s unclear how many of those games will be available at launch. As Nintendo can attest, a console needs solid launch content in order to hit the ground running. And thankfully, according to Sony’s Mark Cerny, the PS4 will have just that. Sony chief financial officer Kenichiro Yoshida discusses the sales of the newly-released PlayStation VR headset, giving a positive update on sales for the device so far. At surface level, the launch of the PlayStation VR headset seemed to go swimmingly for Sony. Dontnod Entertainment was recently confirmed to have entered a funding partnership with Tencent, which now owns a minority stake in the company. The decision, according to Dontnod, will allow the company to continue self-publishing game releases. This prompted some questions online about Dontnod’s relationship with Square Enix, which had published the Life is Strange games. One industry insider was quick to respond that the Dontnod and Square Enix relationship has been defunct for some time....

Video game developer Capcom teams up with the Los Angeles production company iam8bit to create a Resident Evil 7 escape room experience for Halloween. As if Resident Evil 7 on PlayStation VR isn’t going to be frightening enough, Capcom has decided to immerse fans of the classic survival horror franchise in a real world setting inspired by all of the games in the series. As it happens, the publisher and developer has now announced its partnership with the Los Angeles production company known as iam8bit to create an actual escape room experience to not only promote the forthcoming release of Resident Evil 7 and the series’ 20th year anniversary, but also to celebrate Halloween....
