A new Splinter Cell game could be in development if an Italian voice actor is to be believed. In an interview with Multiplayer.it, the voice actor for the Italian language Sam Fisher claims that a new Splinter Cell is in the works. They also claim that it could arrive as soon as 2021. Speaking with Multiplayer.it’s Pierpaolo Greco at the UltraPop Festival, voice actor Luca Ward described that he believes Ubisoft is working on the “conclusive episode” of the Splinter Cell franchise, though Ward admits that he’s not entirely sure about how the new game fits into the Splinter Cell story....

Nostalgia can be a very lucrative thing, and a major driving force in compelling gamers to try out titles they normally wouldn’t these days. Case in point, SpongeBob SquarePants: Battle for Bikini Bottom Rehydrated. Collection-based platformers may largely be a thing of the past, but that hasn’t stopped the revival of the fondly-remembered 2003 title from selling very well. There’s a new Resident Evil game released every few years to bring forward a new story for fans to engage in. With so many titles having been made, it’s only natural that some storylines didn’t connect or were downright bad with not much to redeem them. The latest installment in the Resident Evil franchise, Resident Evil Village, will have a multiplayer mode known as Resident Evil Re:Verse and its Open Beta dates have been officially released. The beta window will be open for players on April 7 this year on PlayStation 4, PlayStation 4 Pro, Xbox One, Xbox One X and PC through Steam. Resident Evil Village was announced back in June 2020 and will be the 10th main series game in the survival horror franchise, set to be released on May 7, 2021....

Riot Games, the developer of League of Legends and Valorant, is giving its employees a break. The week of August 10, the company will shut down to allow staff a chance to “disconnect, recharge, and reboot,” according to a blog post published by the company on Tuesday. In 2020, Riot has released Legends of Runeterra, a digital collectible card game and Valorant, a first-person shooter, and is set to launch League of Legends: Wild Rift, a multiplayer online battle arena game....
