Minecraft is a game that released in 2011 and has slowly taken over the gaming world in a very viral and sudden way. It went from being this weird building game your PC centric friend was talking about, to a worldwide phenomenon you had to try for yourself. Minecraft is currently in a position where it releases on almost every new platform that becomes available. Everyone by now is familiar with Tetris and how that game specifically will be ported for years to come....

Controversial YouTube personality Logan Paul is coming to Twitch, and he’s already a success on the platform. Despite not streaming a single video yet, Paul’s Twitch channel, LoganPaulWasTaken, is already nearing 250,000 subscribers. But considering his past behavior, should Twitch let Paul stream on its platform? For the uninitiated, Paul found himself under fire at the beginning of the year for posting a YouTube video that featured the dead body of a suicide victim....

Minecraft Dungeons has been hailed as a great introductory point for the Dungeon Crawler genre. Obviously, playing Diablo with kids isn’t a great idea, but this game offers a kid-friendly alternative. Despite this trait, there are actually some kind of scary moments in the game which may cause problems for more sensitive kids. Adults will likely have no issue with these scares, and there is nothing intentionally over the top, but it is still a good idea to watch out for these moments when playing through the newest Minecraft game with younger kids....

Spelunky 2 players were left a little defeated on release day, as the platform game pitted one tough opening level against gamers who were just dipping their toes in the caves. Responding to player feedback, director Derek Yu announced that the game’s first area would be receiving an update that would mute the spawn rates of enemies and traps featured in Dwelling. Any PS4 owners who have been wanting to continue playing Spider-Man on the PS5 without having to start all over again can now do so in Spider-Man Remastered. Earlier in the month, Insomniac Games confirmed that the ability to transfer saves from the PS4 to the PS5 will be added to the game, and today that feature is finally available. The update, which was pushed out overnight for the PS4 version, backtracks on Insomniac’s initial decision to omit a save-transfer option for Spider-Man Remastered, a decision that upset many players....

The Splinter Cell series is often regarded as one of the best stealth video game franchises. As fans of the Ubisoft series look for any hint at the return of Splinter Cell, someone did some research about just how deadly Sam Fisher, the series’ protagonist, has been throughout his games. Reddit user u/TK-576 created a post that calculated the kill count for Sam Fisher across the Splinter Cell games. To get an accurate count, the user played through each game and only counted the kills of Sam Fisher that were a part of a cinematic or kills that were 100% unavoidable....

Square Enix has been surprisingly active in 2020 with the launch of half a dozen remakes from Final Fantasy 7 Remake to the reworked Trials of Mana, as well as announcing new titles like Final Fantasy 16 for future release. However, a recent move by the company might be hinting at the revival of a Final Fantasy spin-off game form 1999 titled Chocobo Racing, within the larger Chocobo series. A series of trademarks filed by Square Enix were made public today, being first reported on by Gematsu, that seem to indicate that the company is looking at diving into the series again after an extended break....

Square Enix has confirmed that despite negative fan reaction to the designs of the characters in its recent game trailer for Marvel’s Avengers A-Day, they will not be making any significant changes. IGN recently had the opportunity to chat with Crystal Dynamic lead creative director, Shaun Escayg, who made it quite clear that no changes would be forthcoming, stating, “We are always listening to, and welcome feedback from our community. There are currently no plans to change our character designs”....
