On the video game side, Marvel Comics has been quite busy as they help prepare to launch Marvel vs Capcom: Infinite next month, and are continuing projects set to release in 2018 like Spider-Man for PlayStation 4 and the still secret Avengers collaboration with Square Enix. It would appear Marvel isn’t done there as the company has just filed a new trademark for its popular Secret Wars story line. While trademarks are nothing new to companies like Marvel, fans took notice back on August 18th when the phrase Secret Wars was officially filed with the US Patent and Trademark Office....

Now that Metal Gear Solid creator Hideo Kojima has departed from Konami, fans of the action stealth franchise are unsure of what to expect from the series. So far, Konami seems content to just let it lie, but a new rumor suggests that the company may be looking into remaking the original Metal Gear Solid game as a PlayStation 5 console exclusive at some point down the line. This rumor comes from RedGamingTech, a YouTube channel dedicated to video game hardware....

Watch Dogs: Legion, the dystopian open world hacker action game from Ubisoft has been out for a few months now, and while the initial response to the game was mixed, support for the game continues. Following in the footsteps of Rockstar’s open-world games, Watch Dogs: Legion is set to launch an online mode that could extend the game’s life further. Pokémon fans can now put a ring on it that signals to the world that two nerds have found love with these new Pikachu engagement rings. There’s no doubt that plenty of people have enjoyed From Software’s notoriously challenging action-adventure game Sekiro: Shadows Die Twice thanks to its difficult combat and inventive gameplay elements. As one might expect, though, not every idea that the development studio had during the creation of the title came to fruition in the final product, but a dedicated fan of the company and its games has now uncovered some of Sekiro’s cut content by going through the game files....

FromSoftware said it couldn’t be done, but modders have proven them wrong. After showing off a teaser last month, the unofficial Sekiro: Shadows Die Twice multiplayer mod is finally available for download. Adding in both PvE and PvP modes, the mod basically recreates the summoning and invasion system from Dark Souls and plops it into this deadly samurai tale. Brought to us by modder LukeYui, the efficiently titled “Sekiro Online Mod” supports up to six players in a single session (likely three friendlies and three foes)....

Bethesda Game Studios officially releases a new patch for its open world fantasy-RPG, Skyrim: Special Edition, which brings a variety of fixes and more. It’s been a while since Skyrim: Special Edition received a patch, but it seems as if the developers at Bethesda are doing due diligence when it comes to keeping the enhanced version of the studio’s popular game up and running after its launch last year.
